A historical landmark listed in the United States Register of Historic Places, the Wilshire Boulevard Temple broke with tradition by featuring paintings with human forms on the walls of its sanctuary. The murals, designed by Hugo Ballin, infuse the building with a spirit of drama and fantasy, a representation appropriate for Los Angeles and the entertainment industry. Designed by Abram M. Edelman, S. Tilden Norton and David C. Allison, and dedicated in 1929, it is a magnificent structure from its stained glass windows to its iconic circular dome rising 125 feet overhead.
